One of my first assignments from uni was to look at the design process in fashion and in more detail how research plays an important role in such process.
We were allowed to put ourselves into groups and crack on, and when deadline day would grace me with it's presence, I would have a sketchbook full of research and a presentation board.
We first went on a trip to the Museum of Science and Industry, to collect relevant research. I loved this visit I took various images through out all the buildings. I think its a great place to visit in Manchester city centre.
Our assigned theme was recycled materials, but we had to then chose a sub theme to branch into as a group and after much discussion we chose home ware. As part of our design process we had to come up with a design and creation related to both themes of recycled materials and home ware and as a group I think we achieved that. I get my feedback next week and how we did on the assignment so fingers crossed we did well.
